Honoring Lincoln Luck · 2022–2026
Lincoln's Legacy is a family-led initiative dedicated to honoring our son Lincoln through community service, meaningful giving, and building something lasting in his name.
Our Story
The why behind it all
Lincoln Luck was born and raised in La Crosse, Wisconsin. At 21 months old, he was diagnosed with Rhabdomyosarcoma and courageously battled cancer for 17 months before passing away on January 9, 2026, at the age of three.
Wherever Lincoln went, his collection of animal and dinosaur toys was never far behind. He loved learning and sharing what he knew — the alphabet, numbers, colors, and shapes — and he brought joy to everyone around him through his curiosity, determination, and infectious smile.
Lincoln's Legacy exists to celebrate the impact he made during his short life and to ensure that his story continues to inspire others. He may have only been with us for three years, but the love he gave and received will ripple outward for a lifetime.
What we're doing
Lincoln's Legacy is currently a family-driven effort to give back to the organizations and communities that showed up for Lincoln and our family — and to those who need it most.
We're organizing events, donations, and acts of service in Lincoln's name — partnering with great organizations and showing up for community members who need support. Every effort is a direct reflection of Lincoln's spirit.
We're working toward establishing a formal nonprofit organization in Lincoln's name. Our long-term vision includes creating a petting zoo and educational animal experience — Linky's Land — where children and families can learn, explore, and make meaningful memories together, inspired by the animals Lincoln loved so much.
This site is a living record of everything being done in Lincoln's honor. Check back for upcoming events, completed initiatives, and new ways to get involved as Lincoln's Legacy continues to grow.
Ongoing programs
These are the recurring programs we run in Lincoln's name — building something lasting, one effort at a time.
Every October & April
Benefiting the Ronald McDonald House — Rochester, MN
We collect pop tabs year-round and deliver them twice a year to the Ronald McDonald House in Rochester, MN — a place our family called home for six weeks during Lincoln's treatment. Pop tabs are melted down and the proceeds help fund programs that support families just like ours.
Planned drop-off locations across Wisconsin — more details coming soon:
Boscobel · Muscoda · Wauzeka · Lancaster · La Crosse
Start saving your tabs now — every one counts. If you'd like to host a drop-off site in your community, reach out at info@lincolnslegacy.org.
